Mr. Armelie, my engineering teacher and the leader of the Engineering club is in the process of restoring a 1969 Pontiac GTO. The car is currently unpainted. I proposed to Mr. Armelie that I could create a 3D model of the car using the program SketchUp and then render the car in literally any color imaginable using the program Kerkythea to help him choose what color to paint his Goat (slang for GTO). As I enjoy 3D modeling and am a car guy, I knew a project of this type would be a lot of fun and knowing that I would see Mr. Armelie everyday in class gave me the opportunity to ask questions about fine details, such as which options the car came with. I modeled the car in a little over a month and then spent several more months rendering the car in various locations and colors.
